Mustafa, a seasoned executive with deep experience bringing financial and accounting solutions to government contractors, has a long and varied career at companies as diverse as American Express, Corning Hazelton, and government contractor Standard Technology, Inc. He used his consulting expertise and financial experience to enhance skill sets of STI managers and staff. Prior to joining STI, Mustafa was a Director at American Express Company, leading the Rockville office of American Express’s accounting and consulting division. In this capacity, he provided strategic direction and vision to 100 consultants and professionals. Prior to American Express, he was partner at Integrated Business Systems (IBS), a leading reseller of Navision focusing on distribution and manufacturing. Prior to American Express, he was Director of the Chemistry Division at Corning Hazleton. While there Mustafa introduced an array of technological solutions to labor intensive business practices that dramatically improved product quality, reduced cost and increased market share. As controller, he led the development and implementation of a standard cost accounting system that led to a strong system of management accountability. Mustafa has a bachelors of science degree in Accounting from the University of Baltimore and a Master’s of Business Administration in Finance from Morgan State University. He also is a certified public accountant (CPA) in the states of Maryland and Virginia and is a certified management accountant (CMA).
