PVBS Helps Launch Black Ink Managed Services for Dynamics NAV Government Contractor Customers

Company offers Dynamics NAV as a Service to High-Growth Government Contractors

Reston, VA (March 20, 2007) – Pleasant Valley Business Solutions (PVBS), Microsoft’s leading provider of government contractor ERP, financial management and project accounting solutions, announced that it has helped launch Black Ink, a managed service provider for Microsoft SQL Server-based applications, including Microsoft Dynamics NAV for Government Contractor from PVBS. Black Ink will offer a hosted version of Dynamics NAV for Government Contractors in addition to providing outsourced financial services for government contractors.

Potential customers for Black Ink include emerging government contractors that require highly-functional project accounting and financial management solutions but do not have the necessary IT and accounting infrastructure in place or cannot make the necessary upfront investment. Many of these firms need solutions that support cost accounting standards (CAS) to work with the Federal Government but are not in a position to afford more comprehensive solutions. In most cases, these companies would not have the internal accounting or IT departments to support the accounting requirements the Federal Government requires of its contractors.

Other customers would be firms outside of the Washington DC metro region that are not familiar with government contracting accounting requirements but need a financial management system that is DCAA compliant. Some of these firms may be located outside of the United States.
