PVBS Leads Charge at Third Annual Microsoft Government Contractor Executive Summit in Falls Church PVBS played a major role at the 3rd Annual Microsoft Government Contractor summit held on November 17 at the Marriott Fairview Park in Falls Church. Paul Skurpski, PVBS Vice President of Sales and Marketing, introduced the morning's keynote speaker, Microsoft Chief Transition Officer, Carolyn Brubaker. Ms. Brubaker highlighted many of the exciting programs Microsoft is sponsoring in the Federal Government. The audience of over 300 government contractors was enwrapped by her presentation. PVBS Vice President Paul Skurpski Appointed to SECAF Board The Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum (SECAF), announced the appointment of PVBS Vice President Paul Skurpski to its Board of Directors. SECAF provides education, resources, and advocacy venues to serve the small and emerging government contractor community. Skurpski has vast experience delivering and managing enterprise accounting and financial management solutions for government contractors and currently serves on SECAF's Communications Committee. PVBS Presents "Preparing your Organization for a DCAA Accounting System Audit" at June 10 SECAF Conference At this training event, PVBS discussed what government contractors need to know about the new DCAA Audit Requirements and the role of DCAA in your relationship with the Federal Government. In addition, we discussed why forward thinking government contractors are implementing compliant solutions and documenting processes before they win contracts that require a DCAA audit. The last element of the training covered how to best prepare for your first audit based on the guidelines specified on DCAA Standard Form 1408. This started in December 2005 when Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer gave a seminal speech to over 500 government contractor executives about Microsoft’s commitment to the market.This was supported by the creation of the Government Contractor Solutions Circle, a partnership of six companies that offer complementary solutions for government contractors. This consortium of partners serves to address one of the biggest challenges customers have, that is how to get best of breed solutions without having to manage multiple suppliers. Now, Microsoft is ready to engage the market with its strongest effort to date as it prepares to unveil a powerful marketing outreach campaign this month.
